The Municipal Office of the Town of Krosno is a self-government local administrative unit which assists the Mayor, elected in the direct election, in realization and implementation of the tasks and competences stipulated by the regulations of the law. The Mayor exercises the executive powers in the town, implements the municipal budget (which is drawn up and adopted by the Town Council), drafts resolutions which are tabled for discussion by the self government meetings, manages the municipal assets/property, implements resolutions adopted by the Town Council and indicated the directions of the activities and the mode of execution and implementations of particular objectives.

Since 1st August, 2005 the Municipal Office of the Town of Krosno has got a certificate of compliance with the PN-EN ISO 9001:2001 standard. The certification includes execution of the municipality- and district-budgeted tasks and objectives and the objectives assigned by the central government administration as well as other entrusted tasks, objectives and assignments.
