National road No 28, from Zator to Medyka, goes through Krosno. The international road E371 runs 5 km away from the town; in Poland the road is marked No 9 and it leads, through the Dukielska Pass, to the south of Europe.

The best road access to Krosno is:

• from the eastern part of the country, through Rzeszów and further there are the following possibilities:
  the shortest one – for passenger cars only: road No 9 (E371) to Lutcza, and then turn to road No 991 through Węglówka and Korczyna,
  road No 9 to Krościenko Wyżne or Miejsce Piastowe, and from there, a few kilometres only straight to Krosno,
  road No 988 and then road No 990 through Strzyżów and Wiśniowa,
  from Przemyśl: road No 884 to Domaradz and further on the same as from Rzeszów,
• from the middle and western part of the country: through Tarnów to Pilzno: road No 4 and further road No 73 to Jasło, and then to Krosno by road No 28,
• from the southern part of the Małopolskie Province (the Beskidy Mountains, the Sub-Tatra Mountains area): road No 28: Zator - Wadowice – Nowy Sącz – Gorlice – Jasło.
