Numerous employees have long and valued experience in aviation, automotive and oil industries. The inhabitants of the town are resourceful and active. Krosno has one of the lowest unemployment rates in Poland.
Krosno is a thriving educational centre and the educational offer is compatible with the labour market demand. Education and training, up to the modern standards, of new personnel for the industry is provided by:
- State Higher Vocational School in Krosno, which offers the following fields of study and specialties:
- Mechanical engineering and machinery construction (including CNC machine tools, mechatronics and motor vehicles diagnostics, flying/piloting and aviation mechanics),
- Information Technology,
- Natural environment engineering,
- Construction industry.
Graduates with the title of engineer (inżynier) continue their education at technical universities mostly in Rzeszów (60 km away from Krosno) and Cracow (180 km).
- Post-Secondary Schools Complex No 3 (commonly known as „Mechanik”) along with the Practical Training Centre, provides highly-trained personnel for aviation, automotive and electro-mechanical industries. This educational establishment is equipped with state of the art specialized equipment, laboratories and facilities in the following fields of studies:
- electronics,
- mechatronics,
- electrical engineering,
- CNC machine tools,
- CAD/CAM spatial designing techniques and computer-controlled manufacture techniques.
