Carpathian Climates (Karpackie Klimaty)
„Karpackie Klimaty”, an international cultural event which introduces and popularizes the various cultures of the Carpathian Mountains Euro region was listed in the calendar of artistic events and in August Krosno becomes the venue of meetings of artists, authors, musicians and other creators of the borderland area who display their achievements. There are musical concerts and dance shows performed by visiting and local folk groups. You can see the shows of Hungarian knightly fraternities and exhibitions of folk artists from Hungary, Slovakia and Poland. Carpathian Climates coincide with the Robert Portius Hungarian Wines Festival under the motto: „Hungarian wines in Polish glasses”. Various high quality Hungarian wines can be tasted at reasonable prices at the stands of Hungarian wine producers. „Święto Chleba” (Feast of Bread) is another attraction which promotes traditional baking, cakes and pastries and a competition to select the Krosno inhabitants’ favourite bread.
