Supporting entrepreneurship, fostering innovative ideas, and creating a business-friendly environment are among the key components of the project “Our Krosno: Green, Enterprising and Co-managed with Residents”, implemented with the support of the Swiss Funds and the state budget.

As part of the initiative “Entrepreneurship as Krosno’s Superpower – Stimulating and Supporting the Development of Local Business”, a wide range of activities has been planned for young people, teachers, entrepreneurs, and non-governmental organisations. Their objective is to build a modern entrepreneurship ecosystem that will contribute to the economic development of the city and the entire Krosno Functional Urban Area.

Creativity Labs for Future Entrepreneurs

One of the most important elements of the initiative is the establishment and development of Creativity Labs at the Krosno Business Incubator and in schools located within the Functional Urban Area. These modern facilities will be equipped with specialised business simulation software, 3D printers, and educational robots, among other resources. As a result, young residents will have the opportunity to develop their creativity, acquire practical skills, and gain insight into how businesses operate in real-life economic conditions.

Entrepreneurship Academy for Young People

The project also includes the implementation of the Entrepreneurship Academy, offering competitions and initiatives dedicated to young people. Participants will be able to develop their own business ideas, gain knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship, and learn how to effectively plan and run a business. These activities are designed to encourage young people to become active, think creatively, and take on the challenges associated with developing their own ventures.

Support for Teachers and Modern Education

An important aspect of the project will be the enhancement of competencies among teachers delivering business and management courses as well as economics-related subjects. Training programmes and professional development activities will enrich teachers’ skills and help align the educational process with current labour market needs. Students will gain access to modern knowledge and practical competencies that will facilitate their entry into the labour market or support them in starting their own businesses.

Start-up Incubation Programme and Support for Entrepreneurs

As part of the initiative, a start-up incubation programme will be launched to support individuals planning to start a business and those developing innovative ventures. The programme will also include promotional activities encouraging participants to take advantage of the available support.

In addition, a permanent information and advisory centre will be established for individuals wishing to set up their own businesses as well as for entrepreneurs from the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector. Participants will be able to receive assistance related to business operations, business development, and identifying new growth opportunities.

“Choose Krosno – Buy Local”

The project also includes a grant programme for non-governmental organisations entitled “Choose Krosno – Buy Local”. Its purpose is to strengthen local consumer patriotism and promote entrepreneurs operating within Krosno. Through initiatives implemented by community organisations, residents will be encouraged to use local products and services and support local businesses. This will contribute to strengthening the city’s economy and building stronger connections between residents and the local business community.

The implementation of the “Entrepreneurship as Krosno’s Superpower” initiative will create new development opportunities for young people, entrepreneurs, and community organisations. Investments in education, innovation, and business support will contribute to building a modern and competitive local economy, enhancing Krosno’s attractiveness as a place to learn, work, and conduct business.
