Recruitment for free sports and recreational activities for residents of the City of Krosno, organised as part of the initiative “Active Krosno – a series of sports and recreational activities for residents”, has now been completed. Soon, 300 selected participants will be invited to take part in the training sessions.

Interest in the individual activities was as follows:

• Yoga – 177 applications,
• Zumba – 112 applications,
• CrossFit – 75 applications,
• Self-defence – 63 applications,
• Nordic walking – 36 applications.

A total of 463 applications were received. Admission was determined by meeting the conditions set out in the Regulations and by the order in which correctly completed applications were submitted.

Due to the high level of interest in particular activities, a change in the number of groups is planned: the number of Nordic walking groups will be reduced by two, while the number of yoga groups will be increased. This will allow the programme to better reflect residents’ interests.

Participants who have qualified for the activities will be contacted by the organiser by telephone in the near future.

The sports activities will begin in September 2026. The exact dates of the first sessions will be arranged individually by telephone with each participant.
